What Clothes do you buy for a Micro-Preemie? NICU PREEMIES do not need clothes for warmth, since they spend most of their time in a heated isolette. Studies show, however, that dressed babies tend to thrive better. We recommend clothes that are NICU-Safe since they are designed to provide easy nurse access, accommodate monitoring leads and IV tubes, and are constructed with natural "breathing" fabrics, like 100% cotton.
